Next Decrease Row Knit 2, k2tog, yo, k2tog, k to end

Hi there…Im looking for a bit of help…the baby blanket pattern says “Next Decrease Row: Knit 2, k2tog, yo, k2tog, k to end.”’ I understand this…but i was wondering if I yo then right away do a k2tog or do a yo then just knit one stitch like a regular yo. I’m conserned because Im knitting a diagonal pattern and do not want one side longer and wonky!
Hope this makes sence
Thanks :??

A YO is just that the yarn over. K2 tog, yo, k2tog–no single knits in there at all.

oh…thankyou for you prompt responce! I was doing it incorrectly. You guys on this forum are awesome and always helpful!

Many people think that a yo also includes a knit stitch after it, so you’re not alone. As Ingrid says, a yo is a yo and may have a purl, a knit, a ssk or a k2tog after it.
