Help
So I am brand new to knitting and self/internet taught. Just recently finished my first every project (a scarf), and decided to try something bigger. I found a pattern to do a blanket all in garter stitch, but with double stands of jumbo Bernat blanket yarn. First off it is my first time using circular needles which was/is challenging enough to get the hang of lol. Last night while knitting I had an issue and some stitches slid off the needle when I was distracted. I tried to fix. Honestly now I’m not sure what to do. I have a loop at the top that looks like a missed stitch possibly, and then down below a stretched out piece I’m not sure what is. I’m not advanced enough I guess to recognize what things should look like. Hopefully someone can look at the picture and have an idea where I should start (fingers crossed)
Keep in mind this is only my second project lol beside knitting several rows and then pulling apart and starting over.
Knit until you are right above that loop. Drop a stitch and pull a part as in the video below until you are past that mistake. Then work back up again with a crochet hook, as in the video. If it is not corrected with that, do the same to the neighbor stitches until all is corrected.

Welcome to the world of knitting!!!
I just wanted to say that I really like your blanket and how the stitches look with the 2 strands of Blanket yarn!! What size needles are you using? I might try an afghan like this soon!!!
Thanks,

Knitting Needle Size19 or 15 mm, Circular Knitting Needles…
This is the pattern I was attempting lol
OK. Will try this soon! Thank you. Any suggestions on maybe material for looking at the different mistakes that may come up when knitting? That has been the most difficult part of learning on my own. Recognizing mistakes and then figuring out how to correct
You have been very helpful Engblom!
Most beginner type books for learning how to knit have a “how to fix errors” type of section in them. Of course, you would have to know what type of error you have. That would be the tricky part.
Hope you can figure it out. I would also recommend finding someone who would help you in person. Ask at your local library if they know of any knitting groups or at a knitting store near you.
