I’m a newbie attempting to make a slouchy hat. The pattern says:
Knit 2 rounds
K4, yo, repeat from all around
K4, knit yo through the back loop, repeat from all around
Do I knit 2 rounds of the “K4, yo, repeat” THEN 2 rounds of “K4, knit yo through…”
OR do I knit 1 round of each then repeat?
Thanks for your help!
Hi and welcome. Can you link to your pattern? Knowing for sure exactly what is says makes it easier.

Knit 2 rounds without yo’s.
Then work the k4, yo all around the next round.
Then work the k4, yo through back loop for the next round.
Here is the full pattern, including the line spacing:
Cast on 40 stitches
Place marker and join to begin working in the round.
Round 1: *K2P2, repeat from * all around
Repeat round 1: 10 rounds
Knit 2 rounds
*K4, yo, repeat from * all around
*K4, knit yo through the back loop, repeat from * all around
Switch to 10 mm circular needle
Purl 3 rounds
Knit 3 rounds
Purl 3 rounds
Knit 2 rounds
And so on and so forth. I know how to do the rest of the pattern!
Oh Ingrid! Light bulb! Thank you!!
