The only things I’ve ever done were dish cloths…now I’m trying what’s supposed to be a simple sweater. This pattern is worked from side to side and to increase to make arm hole it says to cast on 32 stitches at the end of the row. Do I use another ball of yarn to do the casting on? I’ve tried looking for a video online, but I haven’t been able to find any.
You can do any of the single-strand cast-ons with your working yarn. The knitted or backward loop would work well for this.
Check out Amy’s videos in the casting on section.
Just get to the end of your row and continue with the cast-on stitches.
