Newbie to knitting and this site!

What can I say but WOW!! This site is truly amazing. Thanks so much Amy for giving me hope!!

Hi everyone, my name is Trina. I live in northern NY on the border of Canada. I am the big 4 oh and mother to Josh 19 (in college) and Jake 17. Hubby and I have hung in here for 22 years. Now that the boys are flying the coop, I feel the need to accomplish a few things for myself.

One of these things happens to be learning to knit. I must have been a knitter in a past life, or maybe I was a sheep or something, because I just feel the want to learn from deep inside and through all the frustration I have not put the needles away yet!! My dream would be to make socks and mittens. I just finished a scarf and I just love the felted bags I have been seeing. I’ll be giving this website to my sons girlfriend (17) who is in the process of perfecting her knit stitch.
