Newbie question #1 from butterflymama, be prepared for more

I am eyeing a set of beautiful needles. They appear to be a great deal, much less than of I had to buy them individually. It includes sizes 3-15. But will I ever use 3-6 in single points much? I have seen patterns for the smaller sizes for socks but they require dpns. So, what would I use the smaller single points for?

I think they could be used on lace or projects with very fine yarns.

I find sizes 3-6 useful. I use them all the time. If you use sport/dk weight yarn, you’ll need them. Even with worsted you often start a ribbing with a size 5. I’d say to get them.
