I got home from work and practiced some more. I’ve gotten the hang of casting on with the continental method, and I can knit better with continental also. Now I’m struggling with the purl stitch . . . back to the videos!
i personally would strongly suggest getting very comfortable with the knit stitch before learning the purl. it is a more akward stitch and can be very frustrating.
after 1 1/2 years i still don’t do it right…i thought i had it and then found out i really was doing it wrong (twisting stitches without knowing it) and i haven’t been able to make the “right” way click yet so i just do my own thing on that. you will get a method down that is comfortable to you though and then you will be off to the races!
