New Uses For Pantyhose?

Do any of you know of other uses (Crafty use) for used panty hose. I was thinking that if there was an easy way to cut them into continuous strips, they would probably knit up to make good shopping bags.

Any ideas or known uses out there?

That sounds like an interesting idea! I found these -

Well, sort of crafty, I cut off the panty part and use the rest to keep my legs warm while bicycling in cold weather.

But that’s a secret so don’t spread it around.

There was an article I found a while ago, that I posted here, that lists several different uses for used pantyhose…I’ll take a look and see if I can find it again.

ETA: Ok, that was an easy find…haha…Here ya go:

Stuffing…

How do you get the legs to stay up?

And you have used panythose because…you were done with them?:teehee:

Sew them to the inside of my winter riding sweats.

Girlfriends come in handy for all sorts of things

:roflhard:

They work for polishing waxes before casting.

While in college I needed some so I just went down the hall, knocked on a door and asked for a pair of panty hose. She didn’t act like it was too strange of a request, but she was in the same school as me so she probably knew what they were for.

I was wondering if someone had taken the time to cut the legs into a spiralling tube that could then be knitted. That would probably take a while to get done. However, it should knit up into a sturdy fabric depending on how wide the strip is. The following things might could be made from hose: shopping bag, night cap to sleep in.

Any other ideas.

Mason isn’t it something how an item so thin can add so much warmth? When I walk in the cooler/colder weather I always wear them. They make a big difference. BTW, welcome to South Carolina.
