Can someone explain to me what this pattern means. It says knit 5 rows of garter stitch. Then says 1st -6th rows knit stitch. Does that mean 5 rows and then 6 more of knit stitch? I tried to upload the pattern but it kept saying file is to big. Its the sea breeze bag on the cartons simply soft website. Its a free pattern. Any help is really appreciated

Hi and welcome!
The first 5 rows are knit for garter stitch. Then you start the Drop stitch pattern which begins with 6 rows of knit. These are in addition to the 5 rows already knit.
Beg at top of Bag, with MC, cast on 75 sts.
Knit 5 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS.
Proceed in Drop St Pat as follows:
1st to 6th rows: Knit.
7th row: *K1, wrapping yarn…
It’s probably a good idea to put a marker or a safety pin on the right side of the work in case it helps later in the pattern.
