Hello! I was wondering if it is okay if i squish my stitches on my knitting needles? Or do they NEED to be placed apart? I am looking to cast on about 50 stitches to a 10mm needle, but as you know they would squish together at this point and i was wondering if thats okay? I am just starting knitting and do not want to change from the regular needles yet. Any help would be appreciated, thank you so much!
It’s ok if you have to squish them a bit, it generally doesn’t affect tension too much.

You’re welcome! You need to be more careful about the stitches popping off the ends, depending how much you have to squish them
