Hi everyone,
I’m new to knitting and currently working on the Dream jumper by Rowan Mode. The sleeves have cabling detail worked in the center 12 stitches with a garter stitch border.
The pattern for the sleeve after the ribbed cuff reads:
Row 1 (RS): K6(6,6,7,7), C12B, K6(6,6,7,7)
Row 2 (WS): K6(6,6,7,7), P12, K6(6,6,7,7).
Row 3: Knit.
Row 4: K6(6,6,7,7), P12, K6(6,6,7,7).
Row 5: K6(6,6,7,7), C12B, 6(6,6,7,7).
Row 6: K6(6,6,7,7), P12, K6(6,6,7,7).
Row 7: Knit.
Row 8: K6(6,6,7,7), P12, K6(6,6,7,7).
Rows 1 to 8 form cable panel patt over centre 12 sts with g st border at each side.
Next row (RS): Kfb, patt to last st, Kfb.
Cont in patt, working inc as set above, inc 1 st at each end of every following 6th (6th,6th,8th,8th) row to 38 sts.
I’m confused how to work the increase into the pattern - do I simply keep the cable pattern the same (C12B) and increase the garter on either side? Or will the cables increase too? Thank you for any advice!
