I’m looking for something new to knit. I don’t want a huge project, but I don’t want a tiny one, either.
All of the patterns that I have on Ravelry that I want to knit either cost money (that I don’t have, haha) or are things I’ve already made. I want to make something new! Perhaps something Fair Isle?
Any suggestions?
colorwork in general, both intarsia and fair isle, from what’s in my “maybe someday” ravelry bookmarks:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/valkyrie-2 (thinking of these for my sis-in-law… used to be hardcore goth, now goth-lite, might remind her of her roots, and they’re warm for coastal oregon’s weather)
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ovals (fun hat could work for me, if done in the right muted colors)
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/1-across-beanie (also looking for a sudoku version)
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/beaune-hat (again, for me, if done in the right colors)
most of them are smaller projects, with smaller yardage requirements, so depending on colors, you may be able to destash and save cash at the same time? hope that helps, even if just to spark an idea. cheers - X
Yay!! Thank you for that list! I saved 4 new patterns from those! I’m excited to get started.
I love the Valkyrie gloves, Color Theory Cowl, Shadows & Light Scarf, & First Fair Isle Anything Cowl. You also reminded me that I wanted to knit that 1 Across Beanie already.
I appreciate your help!
