Okay, so I have to wayside ALL my knitting for the next 7 days.
Why?
My birthday party is Saturday week and I have to have a shrug knitted by then…
Why?
Because all I could find to go with my skirt was a camisole, and I DON’T bare arms in public…
So I have 6 balls of lovely 4 ply Merino in a very pretty soft green, I am going to double strand it (I need it to knit up pretty fast, obviously).
Use 5mm needles for the cuff ribbing, then 8mm for the drop stitch pattern.

I’m just shy of being 1/2 way through now… another pattern repeat or two, then I’m onto the 2nd half officially… YAY!

I finished it saturday morning at 7:30am… the blocked it with a steam iron.
It still came out a LOT larger than anticipated … LMAO…
I think it will become my ‘around the house’ throw on…
I need to re-write the pattern for big peoples
