yeah I’m a little disappointed in this issue as well. I pretty much only like Hedera and Nautie. Most of the rest is too over the top for me.
Well, I have to say that I’m less than impressed. As this is my first issue of knitty I’ve read close to the release date (I didn’t discover knitty until I’d been knitting for two weeks, sometime in February), I enjoyed some of the articles, but many of them are over this beginner’s head (perhaps when I get around to making sweaters or something?). The patterns, also, didn’t strike a chord with me, although there are knitty patterns from old issues that I like.
But, it’s still knitty.
Can anyone get the archives link to work? I can’t
Nope, seems to be broken right now.
Ok, good. I was going to get mad…
I like T Twist, because of the shaping. But I hate the color they chose for the model. If it was a nice spring color, it would look divine!

Once again, as usual…Knitty has used the most bizarre titles for the designs. Where do they come up with this stuff?
I actually like Anatolia, although I might choose some brighter colors. It looks like a fun thing to knit. I like Nautie too. So adorable!
Hmm… yeah, it’s kind of… meh… Nothing i’m DYING to knit.
I agree with you Hildie - that 3X thing is a complete joke. Once you pointed it out i looked at some of the other sweaters from the SAME issue in 3X and they go up to 54"; T-twist is another exception. Weird that they would allow such discrepancies in sizing…
I LOVE Nautie… Love it. I might have to make that for my friend’s baby. (Said friend is a marine biologist and would love it).
I also really like Tendrils… i love beaded work. And i also really like Exchequered - very cool.
Reid and Double Scoop are cute - but with no kids, it’s kind of moot.
I don’t get the Nagano sakura or convertible… :??
But my favorite thing is the picture for Hedera. So Japanese and cool-looking. And those plants in the water! Beautiful photo. I’ll never make the sock, but i love the packaging for that pattern!
-hh
Not impressed at all.
:verysad:
Not sure why I’m whining, though, since there are still a zillion patterns out there that I still want to knit, and many of them are in the Knitty archives–it’s not as though I NEED more to choose from.
Yeah, I’m kind of glad there’s nothing I really like. I have so many other things I want to do anyway; it’s good not to add to the list!
It was me all along! :rofling:
 GET OUT!!!

I feel like I’m intruding but I’m going to ask anyway. Did you design something and have it published on Knitty, Ingrid?!
Oh no! I mentioned somewhere that I was checking out the Knitty site in disguise, and ayaalane gave me this which I used for an avatar.
I used it until the new Knitty came out. Just silly stuff!
hehe, I still think you should be superingrid.
What, nobody mentioned Tendrils yet? I loved Tendrils!
LOL! That’s cute! Thanks for explaining, Ingrid.
I don’t want people to think I believe I’m superhuman.
How frustrating!! :wall: I’m reading all this stuff about the new Knitty issue, but I can’t get the link to work so I can check it out myself. Did anyone else have any problems? I’m going crazy over here!!
Try this.
