Hi there I’m on my first project and would really appreciate some help. I’m shaping a neck for my jumper which is stocking stitch. Row says Purl. Work 2 rows dec 1 stitch at edge. So do I purl again? Or knit as the pattern is stocking stitch, I’m confused. Thank you any replies are

What is the name of your pattern?
The most likely thing is to continue stocking stitch (knit one row, purl one row). So the initial decreases will be on knit rows and purl rows. You can also look at the pattern photo to make sure.
Thanks for your reply the pattern is stylecraft cosy delight chunky 9684. So if I understand where it says work 2 rows it just means knit or purl 2 rows?
Yes, knit or purl 2 rows. In your case it’s in stocking stitch. Maybe because of the multiple sizes, the pattern doesn’t specify knit or purl but uses the general term, work.
