New Knitter, First post!

[COLOR=“Purple”][SIZE=“4”]Hello Everyone -

I just joined this group today and would like to say “Hi”. I am a 43 y/o SAHM. This July my husband & I will celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We have two boys, ages 8 & 12, 3 dogs and one cat.

Five years ago, I learned how to knit using a round loom. That led to knitting on both looms & boards. Last year I taught myself how to crochet right handed (I am a leftie) so I could more easily read/understand patterns.

Just yesterday, I decided to try my hand at needle knitting. I dug out a pair of size 8 needles & a book I bought years ago and decided to try again. I had tried to learn many years ago from my Grandmother, but had a frustrating time with her being right handed.

I am really excited I found this site. I am home with the flu :ick: I just found the video on how to do the long tail cast on and YEAH! I have 20 beautiful casted on stitches ready to go.
