Ok, well, it isn’t set in stone yet, but, I got a call today from the owner of the tattoo shop hubby and I go for our tattoos and she offered me a job! :cheering: Actually, she offered me a job a while ago that I regretfully had to turn down: she wanted to teach me to do body piercings, which I would have LOVED to do, but, at the time I had no one to watch my son, and, hubby’s work and school schedule interfered too much.
So, my mom quit working about 6 months ago and I called the tattoo shop to see if they still needed any help, but, at that time they didn’t. But, now they do! It’s not doing piercings (at least not yet…lol) but she really needs counter help and she said she wanted to offer me the job first. She told me she is willing to work around my schedule and can be flexible with hours as she understands hubby is still in school and working, my daughter is in school and my son has another year before he starts school…lol…So, my mom will be able to watch my son on the weekdays I have to work and my neighbor offered to pick my daughter up from school so I think I may be able to make it work this time around! I am sooo happy because we really, really need the money. And, I obviously don’t have to worry about hiding my tattoos and piercings since it’s a tattoo shop! :teehee: I’m going to either stop in tomorrow, or call her to work out a schedule. Hubby and I figured it would probably be, at least, an extra $400 a month which will definitely help!
Unfortunately I won’t be able to start cosmetology school this year because that schedule is too demanding, but, I’ll start next year, after my son starts school and I won’t have to rely so heavily on someone watching my son while I’m at school. Man, things are FINALLY starting to look up! :woot:
YAY!! congratualtions. Whata perfect job for you and it s great that it fits in around your kids and hubby. I hope you enjoy it and that the extra income helps.
:cheering: Congratulations! And how perfect that you’ll be working at a place that would encourage having tattoos showing. Being a teacher myself, I have to be careful about my tattoos. A lot of principals aren’t too approving of them.
Oh wow, what a great opportunity! It sounds just right for what you need… God is just cool like that, dont you think?:teehee: Another door opened and I bet this one is going to work out way better…
Indeed they are addictive! Actually, in addition to a paycheck, she (the owner) said the guys (tattoo artists and piercers) would tip me out at the end of the night, and, if I need the money I can take it, or, I can have more work done! :woot: hahaha…Unfortunately though, we need the money right now more than the tattoos…lol
