I just wanted to say hi! I’m new to knitting (well sort of). My grandmother taught me to knitt when I was 6 or 7. I didn’t do much with it then. My mother, sister and I recently took a beginning knitting class at Michael’s and I knitted my first scarf! I’m 24, a SAHM (Lane 18 months) and I have endometriosis so I like to find things that I can do laying around on my bad days, which tend to be more and more every passing month.

I’m curretly working on a hooded blanket, which looked alot easier when I first read the pattern, but I think I’ll get it together. I found this pattern in a book at our local library. I just fell in love with it!

Danielle, welcome there is a great group of ladies here always ready to help. I am new to knitting too. Having a bit of trouble with my purling though. lol

Was the class at michaels worth it? I thought about taking that too.

I started the hooded blanket not too long ago thinking I’d give it to a friend that is due in April… I might need to start back on that thing huh?

You’ll love it here, we talk a lot about knitting and some about life, so it’s like a regular coffeeshop knitting experience without having to leave the comfort of your fuzzy slippers!
