:blooby: :blooby: :blooby:
That makes me happy!!!
Now that I’ve purchased the pattern, I’m thinking it may be to hard for me. I can’t even find where it says how many stitches to cast on. Is it just me or am I being blind and just don’t know how to read patterns?
OK, I’m in. I ordered enough Silk Garden from Webs. I should be able to get guage with it (I hope).

I got the 2nd one from the top - #217. I ordered it either Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully it’ll ship soon and I’ll get it next week! I can’t wait!
OK, I got the pattern…holy small print. I had to look pretty close to find it. Page 2 left hand column, almost to the bottom. There’s a chart for the lace pattern, then right under that is directions for “Yoke” and it tells how many stitches to cast on. Stick with it, and just ask questions when you need to. It’s a beautiful pattern. I should be casting on next week. My yarn is shipping today!!!
FYI,
I have been doing some price research online of some yarns that I’m interested in buying. You can get Tilli Tomas Rock Star for $35, instead of the $39 or $40 at www.discountyarnsale.com
When I get to this project (sometime this fall) I am going to use Andean Silk and TT Rock Star in black. I plan to wear it (the long sleeve version) for orchestra concerts.
I’ll be so cool!!!

OMG!!! Thank you, thank you!!! I just couldn’t find it to save my life. And yes, the print is way to small!!!
How do you think Knitpicks shine would do for this pattern? I want to try this pattern once I’m done with my two major WIP’s (an afghan and a sweater) but I want to make sure I choose a yarn that will do well. I wasn’t sure how the cotton blend would work with this pattern- any thoughts?

I haven’t used Shine, so I can’t be any help there, sorry.
I casted on for this on Monday and I’m about halfway to dividing for the sleeves. I hate to purl, so it’s going pretty slow. I think once I get to start knitting in the round, it’ll go a lot faster.
Has anyone else started yet?
I just got the pattern the other day and now I’m trying to find a yarn I want to use.
I’m making the long sleeved version for my daughter.
I wanted to let ya’ll know we have a KAL website set up for this, and there is nearly 30 members who have joined this week!

Got My Pattern
Now what to make the sweater with :?? What has everyone else used, talks about drape, etc…just wondering how it’s going out there…
Ohhhhhhhh :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
So Excited,

I gave up resisting and just bought the pattern! I can’t get the yarn for it yet - I have so many projects waiting to be started… but it’s so gorgeous, I couldn’t resist any longer…
:cheering: :cheering: :cheering: Karen!!!
Now that there is some serious yarn porn!! Ooooh, I LOVE green!
Argh- I’m stuck on my yarn decision. I really want something easily washable so I can wear it lots… so I’m leaning toward knitpicks shine. But at the same time there is an absolutely wonderful color in the Knitpicks Shamrock line that reminds me of flames-- I can’t think of the name this morning- (that’s what I get for knitting until 2am…) but it’s just an amazing color. However, it’s wool, so it would have to be handwashed. I already am used to adding beads to my work, so I"m just thinking of doing bedwork on the neckline to accent it a little. I guess that would just make it hand wash anyway…
Decisions…

I am in the middle of the lace section of the body. Once I finish that, I’m going to put it on a holder, and I’m going to do the sleeves and neck, to see how much yarn I have left. I may make it a bit longer, but I need to make sure I won’t run out of yarn. I’ll try to take a pic later and post it.
