John is one of my sons, gente, a lovely person- and that is not only his mother talking
And for him I am knitting this 3 colours (navy, magnolia, maize) lovely pattern cardigan.
This is only the begining, and perhaps worries me a bit…
but thinking of quiting? NEVER! (here talks a Taurus female haha)
The truth is I didn’ t think was going to be this hard.
But to make things easier, in the evenings I knit easier pieces- to recover myself of those few hours a day of pain.:woot:
Well is the fun of knitting…or am I a masoquist?
Looks like you’ve got a great start at it. You sound just like me. I am always thinking “what the heck did I get myself into?” and then I go and do it again on the next project. LOL Maybe it’s a Taurus thing My husband doesn’t get it and is always trying to keep me from the way I torment myself “can’t you just buy a cake this time” or whatever but the truth is I must enjoy the torture whether it’s knitting, baking, I just want to do more than I know how to do.
[color="#300090"]Perhaps it is not so much the pain or frustration of the struggle, but more the exhilaration from successfully completing such beautiful and challenging work.
If you hike a flat, easy trail you miss the beautiful vistas of the summits that are a challenge to reach.
Back and forth, KnittingNat. Is a cardigan, opens in the front ( zip is in my mind)
The fairisle is more like a border, not and overall design.
Wish me luck
A kiss,
Dolly
