Nepal disaster

I was in Nepal last November helping to build houses for the Nepalese community in Chitwan province through Habitat for Humanity.
I think the area we were building in is OK but we were also in Kathmandu and can only begin to imagine what it is like now. Also, having driven through the hills from Chitwan to Kathmandu I can see just how terribly difficult it will be to reach those communities in the hillsides.

Please do respond with help through any of the established organisations, including Habitat, who have a big presence there.

This lady was herding her cows in Kathmandu just near the airport - I have absolutely no way of knowing if she survived but thought you might like to see the sort of people who had been happily living there.
