Needle sizes

US size six is…how many mm? I know that size 8 is 5mm but after that im lost. HELP!! :??

According to my sizer, a US 6 is equal to a 4.25 mm.

Here’s a needle conversion chart:

Watch out with US6s…most are 4mm, but the clover bamboo ones are 4.25mm, for some reason. :??

Hmmmm…too lazy to go out and buy…1mm wont make difference will it? :??

I love  the confuzzled guy :?? :??

i think it is going to depend on what you are making.

okay there from left to right is a size 6 (4mm), size 7 (4.5mm), and size 9 (5.5mm)

i think there is a definite difference but it doesn’t really matter if you are making something where the gauge doesn’t matter OR if you knit up to the right gauge on the bigger size.

(wow those needles look ginormous like that…lol sorry for the cell phone fuzziness…i am guessing that it is from being too close up. shrug)

LOVE YOUR AVATAR!! (avater?)

Anyways i appreciate the effort and the explaination. It really helped!
