Needle recommendations

Hi All,
I am knitting a baby blanket for a co-worker. It’s a pretty pattern recommended by a friend (Soft as a Cloud Baby Blanket), very easy to do. Except, I have to use circular needles and that’s where I am running into problems.:help:

#1 the needle and cord separated…easy to fix with super glue (using bamboo needles)

#2 noticed that when the needle is in the right hand I tend to bend the cord where it meets needle and the edge of the needle seems to be cutting the cord

I am working on changing the way I hold the needles (when I remember)

Can anyone recommend other needles? I know about the Addi, but are there less expensive needles out there that may work better?:??

In case I forget to say it . You ROCK!!! I have learned so much by just reading the post. Thank you All.

Clover’s may not have this problem, or you may like metal boye or susan bates needles which have a curved part between the needle and the cord. If yours are the ones that have tubing for the cord instead of a thinner plastic one, just about any other type may work better for you.

Because this topic has come up so many times (in fact, we really should have some of the needle discussion threads pinned to the forum IMO), here’s a plethora of past threads that may help:
