Needle questions

Hi! I’m new to knitting and I was watching videos on how to knit a hat. I have a 10mm 32 inch circular needle and I’m not sure if that’s to long to do a hat? I went to Hobby Lobby and they only had 32 inch long circular needles. Any recommendations on where to buy needles?

I would recommend getting them about 16" long. I would call other craft stores like JoAnn or AC Moore and ask if they have the length/size you’re looking for.

Do u have a pattern for your hat? That will usually tell you what size/length to use.

You can use those needles if you can’t afford/find other ones. I use the magic loop method which involves just splitting the stitches roughly in half and pulling the needle cord through.
