Need ideas for 3 skeins of acrylic

I’ve been busy making blankets et al for new nephew. I now find myself with 3 skeins of acrylic (light blue, light mint and white) that’s too scratchy for blanket, so I’m looking for suggestions on perhaps a decor item or ??? for baby’s room. Any ideas welcome.

Acrylic gets softer after it’s washed, but it’s still likely to be too scratchy for a baby. I’d suggest a lapghan or something for the new parents to use. Parents need some lovin’ too, after all!

If you’re feeling selfless, you could knit some small blankets for animals at your local shelter. I made the same mistake you did, and that’s what I’m planning to do with my extra yarn.

Thanks for your replies. Whatever I make for the nephew has to be shipped a long distance (spendy!) so am leaning towards donating locally whatever I end up making, as that would be more cost effective.
