Need help with YO!

I am doing a dishcloth pattern that reads “YO, K2, pass YO over K2”. So I get the YO and then the knit 2, but what does it mean to pass the yarn over the K2?? Does it mean to make sure the yarn ends up before the K2 before I do the next step (which actually is repeating that to the end of the row)??

THANKS!!

It means to pass the loop created by the yo over the two knit stitches and off the needle, as if you were binding off. Pick it up with the left point, lift it over the two knit stitches and off the end of the right needle.

Thanks  . You are the best and so quick. I literally am sitting here trying to figure it out. Seems so obvious now! :happydance:

a Stick Shift is easy once it makes sense to you
as long as you know how
it does not matter much howyou learn, by self struggle, or by lesson

Congrats on this learning experience
I have an old pattern to re-pick up
should be a nice bag in a few weeks
