Need Help with Three Needle Bind off to Finish a Hat

I’m relatively new to knitting and am trying to make a hat that is to be finished off with a Three Needle Bind off. I’m knitting on double pointed needles. At the end I transfer all my stitches to 2 needles, but I can’t figure out how to get the right sides of my project together so that the seam of my project is on the inside of the hat rather than on the outside. I hope this makes sense!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Do you have the directions in the pattern or a link to the pattern?

This Video is a really good example of a three needle bind off.

This is the pattern I’m following.

I was just wondering if there is a trick to getting the hat turned “inside out” with the needles still attached so I can get the right sides together for the bind off.

You can slide the stitches onto a stitch holder (looks like a big safety pin.). Or if it is only a few stitches, a safety pin works. Then move stitches back onto the needles after turning inside out. Or you can just stretch the hat so you can wiggle the needle tips, one at a time, thru the opening.

Flip it inside out so the WS is on the outside.
