Hi I’m new, I’m knitting a blanket for the first time. I’m stuck on part of the pattern. It says P7,inc in next st,[k2, inc in next st] twice, P7 -24st. Not a clue lol. I get the pearl 7 and that inc is increase. Not sure what kind of increase to do or how yet. What part do I knit twice? And how does this add up to 24st lol. Gah help please!

Ok, purl 7, knit in the front and back of the next stitch (kfb), k2, kfb, k2 kfb, p7. You should have 24 stitches.
When a pattern says to increase IN the next stitch, work a kfb.
What part do I knit twice?
The part inside the square brackets. Whenever you see those or ( ) or * watch for instructions to repeat.

Thank you! I figured it out lol! Wasn’t sure if the brackets meant the same as* or not. Had a little stage fright looking at it haha. Now I can continue on knowing for sure! Thanks again for the quick response! I was afraid I might have to wait days!
