Need help with cable pattern!

Knitting a sweater, and the pattern for the front is very unclear to me. It says to follow the 14 st cable pattern, but which 14 stitches form the cable pattern? I only see 10 stitches that clearly are the pattern! Am I looking at it wrong?

Front

With 6mm needles, cast on 74 (82) (90) (98) (106) sts.

1st rib row: K2, [p2, k2] to end.

2nd rib row: P2, [k2, p2] to end.

3rd to 10th rib rows: Repeat 1st and 2nd rib rows, 4 times.

11th rib row: [K2, p2] 8 (9) (10) (11) (12) times, sl next 8 sts onto a cable needle and leave at back, k2, [sl last 2 sts on cable needle back onto left needle and p these 2 sts, si last 2 sts on cable needle back onto left needle and k these 2 sts] twice, [p2, k2] 8 (9) (10) (11) (12) times.

12th rib row: As 2nd row.

These 12 rows form the 14-st cable panel at centre with double rib each side. Rib another 4 rows, dec 1 st at each end of last row on 2nd size and inc 1st at each end of last row on 5th size - 74 (80) (90) (98) (108) sts.

Change to 7mm needles.

Next row: K30 (33) (38) (42) (47), pattern 14, k to end.

Next row: P30 (33) (38) (42) (47), pattern 14, p to end.

Continue working 14-st cable panel at centre with ss at each side as set on last 2 rows until front measures the same as back to armhole shaping, ending with a wrong side row.

Welcome!
It does look like 10sts but the entire pattern actually includes 2 purl sts on either side of the cable itself. This isn’t apparent during the rib portion of the front but when you get to the body of the sweater in stockinette, the 14-stitch pattern is clearer.

Thank you!
