Need help with a YIF pattern

Hi

I’m working on this slipper pattern but don’t understand the YIF part.

Can someone explain what this means?

Row 2: K1,P1. *Sl1 YIF, K1. Repeat from * to last 3 sts. end Sl1 YIF, P1, Sl YIF.

The legend says:

YIF: Yarn in front

Sl X: Slip X stitches together purlwise

Thanks for the help!

David

That means to keep the yarn to the front of your work after the purl, slip the stitch, then you should take it to the back of your work to k1. Then you’ll just be moving it to the front to slip, then to the back to knit, back and forth to the end of the row.

Thanks!:muah:
