Need help with a sweater

I’m making my first sweater. I just cast on the Austin Hoodie today and am having trouble understanding what to do. The pattern says: Purl. Cont. to work in st st for 6 more rows ending with a WS row. Change to larger needles. Unzip provisional cast on and put sts on needle. Turn work to WS and knit together live sts with sts reclaimed from the unzipped provisional cast on.

I have already finished the 6 rows of stockinette. After that I can’t figure out what I’m supposed to do. Can someone please help me? Thanks

Well, it looks like it’s having you change to a larger needle on the side that you finished on a wrong side. Then, it has you go to the bottom and so-to-say open up the cast-on you did so that it has stitches hanging out like you would have on a needle, stick those on a needle and work them with the stitches you have on the other needle with the wrong side facing you.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I guess I was making it harder than it actually is.

You’re making a hem. Take out the P CO and put the sts on a needle, then fold up the edge so that needle is parallel with the L needle and knit a st from the CO together with one from the L needle.
