Has anyone had difficulty with the Leisure Arts Little Lamb pattern.
On the increase rows, my stitch count does not match!
row 4 is OK=60 sts
row 8 works out OK-78 sts if I eliminate the first increase where it says K4,increase, then (K2,increase)across row and if I don’t count the 4 sts at the beginning and end of the row.
row 12 where I k4,increase,and then (k3,inc1)across row does not work out. The pattern says I should have 96 sts. I have 106 sts plus 4 on each end of the row.
row 16-I have 130 sts and the pattern says I should have 114.
Can anyone help me. I have ripped this out many many times
Thanks,
Connie K
The instructions say to kfb. The stitch count in the pattern works out to 18 increases on each increase row but if you follow the instructions, as you increase by 18, on the next increase row you have 21 increases, then 24 increases etc.
Everyone seems to make this little sweater without difficulty. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I am following the instructions EXACTLY.
It should work out. Row 12 starts with 60 sts, k4, then increase in every 3rd st and probably end up with k2 at the end, for 78. Then on row 14 do the same - k4, inc in every 4th st and end with k2 and you end up with 96. So make sure you had 60 sts to begin with and that your incs are in the right sts.
