I am stuck trying to find out which type of cast on I should use, I already tried to use the long tailed one and it didnt work like the single one did for some reason where you use the backwards loop.
Is it okay to use the single cast on method for making a washcloth?

Please use short titles and ask your questions in your post. The title area is only to give readers an idea about what the post is about. I changed it to a more appropriate one.
There are no knitting police. You can use whatever cast on your choose. If one doesn’t work for you try another. I think most knitters prefer long tail as a good all around cast on. The others all have their value in different situations though. New knitters often use backward loop and it works fine to learn.
