Hi everybody so I was teaching my daughter how to knit but I’m a beginner myself. We are trying to knit a sweater but got stuck could someone please help me with the neck. I will attach the pattern and also the spot I’m stuck please help thank you so much for your time

Is it the first heading of Neck shaping after the Divide for neck? Cast off 6sts, purl to the end. Work one row without increases or decreases then cast off 3 at the beginning of the next row. Call that row, row 1 so then cast off 3 sts at the beg of rows 3,5 and 7.
Dec at the neck edge on the next row, row 8 and then on rows 10,12 and 14.
If that’s not where the confusion is, just let us know.

Yes, you’re on a wrong side row. Cast off 6sts at the neck edge at the beginning of this row. All the decreases in this section of the pattern are on the neck edge.
The other neck shaping instructions are for the other side is that correct sorry for asking a lot of question
Yes, that’s it exactly. You’ll finish all the sts for the first shoulder and then move on to the second shoulder and begin the neck shaping on that side. This time the neck shaping begins with the right side (RS) facing.
