need direction please

i am not quite understanding what this part of pattern is saying, can someone help?
“now working both sides at the same time, keeping pattern correct, continue to dec Raglan Armhole on every right side row as before AND AT THE SAME TIME, dec one st at each side of front neck 6 times.
Now continue to dec for Raglan Armholes only until 1 st rem on each side. Fasten off.”

Welcome to the forum!
What is the name of your pattern?
You’ll be working the 2 shoulders at the same time with 2 balls of yarn. The main stitch pattern will continue as best you can maintain it while the stitch count decreases.

You’ll be decreasing at the armhole edge on every other row, for example, rows 1,3,5,7,9 etc. using the same kind of decrease you have been working.
Decrease at the neck edge on each side of the neck on rows 1,2,3,4,5, and 6. The decreases at the neck edge stop while the raglan armhole decreases continue until one stitch remains.

thank you so much, I think I understand what you are saying so I will give it a try and see where I get. the pattern is called (mary maxim) Raglan Pullover

See how it goes and if there’s still a problem, come back and ask. You can work the shoulders one at a time if that’s easier.

thank you, I think what is throwing me is the last line where it says “each side”, just not sure what each side is if only working the armholes only there.

Hello
I think I understand the confusion.
Often “each side” means both the right side and wrong side - like where it refers to neck edge and the decreases are each side, RS and WS rows are decreased at neck edge as listed by salmonmac.
But
The very last mention of “each side” here means the 2 shoulders and refers back to the beginning of this instruction to “work both sides at the same time” so it’s one stitch remaining on the right raglan and one stitch remaining on the left raglan.

The confusion in language between right and wrong sides and right and left sides.

Hope this helps an doesn’t confuse further!

The “each side” applies to the neck instructions only. Of course the raglan continues at the armhole edges but the pattern is making it clear that at the neck shaping, the 6sts are decreased as 6 at the left edge of the neck and 6 at the right edge and not 6sts total (or 3sts at each edge).
