Need an easy, sturdy buttonhole

Greetings-

I’ve made a lot of buttonholes over the years and I’m always disappointed and now I face having to make 4 more! Can someone please tell me how to make a good, sturdy (that it doesn’t get become shapeless and bigger) buttonhole. Mine always seem to have one big loop showing at one end, no matter what I do, that always shows up.
I’d like to have one great buttonhole method I could use over and over again.

My default buttonhole is the one described (plus video) at the top of the page under the Free Videos tab, Advanced Techniques. It’s always neat and doesn’t have any extra loops waving around. See if it works for you!
