If you are looking for an inexpensive yarn swift try Ebay. I purchased my yarn swift on Ebay for $19.99. I really like it. It is item #3301 3633 8396 and is called Medium oak yarn swift, that + my 50% off yarn winder from Joanns made a great buy for me.

I bought mine on ebay too, and I think it was about the same price. LOVE it! 
Gee, I wish I would have checked e-Bay for a yarn swift. I paid a lot more for the one I have, like it okay, but it is a pain to set it up, has to be clamped onto the edge of a table, etc. I looked at the ones currently on e-Bay and they look great. I could not live without my winder and swift.
My DH is making me one of these. I really like how it looks and he enjoys woodworking and assured me he could make one for less than $20. I think all he has left to do is sand it – I was adamant about it being smooth.
He’s a bit frustrated now because he hasn’t had a chance to work on it these last three weeks. :pout: I had to wind my hank without it, but I’m sure it won’t be my last hank! :lol:
