I started the Homespun hooded sweater for my mom, but then I decided she probably wouldn’t like the hood, so I’m trying to find another simple sweater pattern, probably with just a rolled down neck that I could use Homespun with. Any suggestions?

you could just knit the sweater and leave the hood off.
Hilde…that would be a great idea, and I was thinking that…but…I’m still new at this! Here’s the pattern, does that look easy enough to do?
It appears that the hood is added after the sweater is knit, so you could do it easily. You might just want to add some ribbing or something around the neck stitches to finish them off nicely.
Thanks ladies! I think I’m going to give it a whirl! I can at least work up the body of it, and if I get to the neck and start having problems, at least I’ll know where to go for help!!
