Hi there, I am needing your help once again please.
My pattern is Seaside Collection in Paintbox Yarns and I’m making the Seaside Sweater with sailboat motif.
I have completed the front, back and sleeves to stitch holders.
When I tried to start on the neckband I found the shaping of the front neck was not neat enough. I had had difficulty decreasing neatly, leaving some gaps . Having made several attempts at redoing it and looking on line I decided to ask you for help. Thank you
maybe your tension gets loosen when you are decreasing?
Thank you I’ll certainly take that into consideration.
In addition, It can also be the placement of the decreases. It’s helpful for picking up sts if you decrease one or two sts in from the neck edge.
Here’s a video where sts were bound off instead of decreased by k2tog or ssk, showing how to pick up sts.
Thank you once again , I actually followed the advice given by Cheryl Brunette for avoiding steps along the decreased neckline !! I shall follow this video by her again, Thank you.
