is June 10th according to a flyer at my LYS…has anyone else seen/heard about this? This was the first I’d heard of it–was wondering if it’s a local movement trying to become national or if it’s really a national thing. There is a park and the IKEA store up here is participating. I have something planned for that day so I can’t participate in either of the groups but I thought I’d try to convince my snb to take part if it’s legitimate.
National Knit In Public Day
I’ve heard of it elsewhere and seem to remember it from last year. Everyday is KIP day for me, so. . .
it is world wide knit in public day actually. why the suspicion though? just kip any ol’ time and be proud!
sadly i can’t take place in any organized events because it is the day of the county convention AND my aunt and uncle’s 35th anniversary…but i do plan on KIPing in both places
I kip all the time too—I didn’t mean to seem suspicious but I would have thought I’d hear about something like that here first! Anyway…thanks for the link.
Knitters Unite!!!
~~ can I get a day off work for this?
We are having our KIP in a park in downtown Colorado Springs. I’m going to try to get there, but I have a welcoming party for a friend’s sister on the same day.
What Ingrid said is true for me too. :XX:
Nikki
Do you think if we call it our religion they’ll have to give us the day?
My Guild is KIP for it, but it’s the same day as the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics so I have to do that!! Can I knit and run???
Ok, so I’m not running in it, but I am probably going to be the lead squad car, so I can’t knit

I’m in!! I looked on the map they have and the closest knitter to me is 5 hours away. Guess I’ll be in the park KIP alone.
Yom Knittur :roflhard: I it!! THere is the church of craft, I wonder if it is a 501(3)C?
Angelia–if you can run and knit…I want to see it! :roflhard:
Me too!!! :roflhard: :rofling:
