Nakiska yarn amount question

Has anyone made Nakiska (cabled headband) from Knitty? It calls for Classic Elite Lush, which comes in 124 or so yard balls. I might want to sub another yarn with alpaca in it so the headbands would be warmer. How many yards did the pattern take? I want to know if I could make one out of a ball with 90 or 100 yards.

Are you at work so you can’t look? Anyway here is the text for the materials.

MATERIALS

[MC] Classic Elite Lush [50% Wool, 50% Angora; 124 yd per skein]; color: 4420; 1 skein

1 US #5/3.75mm circular needle, 12"
Tapestry needle
GAUGE

24 sts/32 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch

So based on this it takes one skein. You can easily sub another yarn as long as you have the same gauge. The recommended yarn is 50% wool so it’s probably pretty warm though.

No, I was wondering if the pattern took all 124 yards of the yarn…I wanted to use a different yarn and I wanted to know if I could buy just one skein of a yarn with less yardage.
