I’m working on a baby sweater and am preparing to knit the sleeves. Can someone explain to me what the following means?:
“…until sleeve lenght measures 63/40[71/20, 83/40, 90](17 cm[19cm, 22cm, 23cm])”
I know that the last numbers refer to the length of the sleeve, but what do the ##/## refer to?

63/40[71/20, 83/40, 90]
It should read 6 3/4" [7 1/2", 8 3/4", 9"] There is a similar mistake above in the directions for the left front. It has the numbers 80 [9", 11", 11 1/2"], they mean for the first number to be 8". Each time the 0 is where the inch sign (") should be and they have the numbers for the inches right, they just have the spacing wrong, and with 0 instead of the " they are impossible to read.
They also have the lengths in centimeters and the numbers I gave match the centimeters.

Yes, it is a cabled baby sweater. I started the sleeves last night, but am having a difficult time getting my brain to understand how to “work the pattern” when I have to increase 1 stitch at each sleeve edge every 4th row. The pattern doesn’t seem to flow…:???:
You add the extra stitches into the stitch sequence of the pattern. The WS rows are easy, just knit the knit sts and purl the purl sts on the row you’re working on, and the same for Row 4. For row 2, purl the purl sts and work the cable twist only when you have 2 knit sts; if an increase leaves you with just 1 knit st, then knit it.
After 2 days of working at it, I finally have the sleeve looking decent :woot: . Thanks for the help.
