My sweater is too short!

I just finished the Eco Friendly Cropped Vest from Luxury One Skein wonders.

I added length, finished it & realized AFTER I was done, that it is too short.

It is a bottom up pattern.

My Question:

Can I take out my cast on edges, pick up the stitches & lenghten the vest? I think I can, but not too sure. I know I would have to bind off using a very loose stitch.

Any ideas?

If there’s ribbing at the bottom, it won’t unravel from the cast on. But you can cut a stitch just above it, pick up the sts and knit longer, then reknit the ribbing or graft it back on. The info in Techknitter’s blog can help you.
