What is the best way to add in a new roll of yarn when the old one is used up? i don’t want to have any obvious strings hanging out…

My skein ran out and i still need to make my work longer!
There are several ways. I knot loosely together, do a couple more rows, then redo the knot and arrange it so it’s at the top of a stitch on the wrong side, then pull the ends through the adjacent stitches. Some people knit a few stitches with both. If it’s wool you can spit splice the ends together which felts it. Look at Joining yarn in the Tips tab.
