2 ply, merino wool, it finished at 8 wpi, measured at little more than 24 yards.
I don’t know why my yarn never has the yards that is expected at the WPI I measure. I might be doing something wrong when measuring the yarn?
I measure the yarn in relaxed position with a ruler, it came out at 16 inches, then counted strands I got 28 strands on one side. 28**2*16=896” which resulted in 24.8889 yards.*

Wraps per inch is giving you an approximate idea of the yarn weight, a bulky weight. There’s some approximation in the yardage that you measure as well as you aren’t stretching the yarn out so the measurement is a bit of an approximation too.
The yarn does look lovely. Have you tried knitting with it?
I don’t do knitting, but do crochet. I like working with crochet much more than knitting, unless it’s on my machine. For the yarn, I am attempting to get into production spinning for selling it. Tomorrow on Sunday, I am hoping I will have that skein, plus one more on display at my Sister’s flea market booth.

Good luck with it! Hope it does well.
Another skein finished today.
Enjoy your time at the flea market with your sister.
After talking to google AI, I decided to not sel it without dye work.
