This is FANTABULOUS!!! I love the fit and the colour truly looks divine!
Beautiful and very becoming!
My goodness! You “winged it”. Japanese.
I have much to learn.
Dolly, you may not love the color…but the COLOR SURE DOES LOVE YOU! You are beautiful in this color! The design is also very flattering! You are the perfect hair color for this shade of blue! Great job!!!
Hugs,
Dollyce (yeah, I’ve been called Dolly, too!)
Thanks Dollyce! I am getting use to it. I can always dye it later on.
I got an order to knit the same cardigan in white for a niece of mine, which will look better on her. She has one of those perfect figures that I can only dream off.
Your covered buttons ARE TO DIE FOR! Oh my! Pure Class!

I HAD (past tense) a perfect figure, but my old brain has to strain to remember it!
Isn’t it just life! When you had a perfect figure, you didn’t appreciate it. By the time you are old enough to appreciate the perfect feminine figure and skin, it’s gone…you’re almost too old to even remember what it was like!
Oy!
But I am grateful for a modicum of health and happiness!
A great husband, five beautiful kids, and 10 darlin’ grandbabies, the oldest of which is turning 23 in October.
Oh boy, where is my cane? I could be a great-grammy this time next year! :happydance:
You did a beautiful job, and I agree with the other posters about the color. I just love it! As for fit and figure, has anyone else noticed that most of the patterns are form fitting? I’m really short-waisted, so I don’t look good in anything snug, but finding other patterns isn’t easy. I know experienced knitters could alter the patterns, but I just learned how to knit last summer!
So very pretty!
You are really talented to just look at a sweater and make this nicely shaped and fitted sweater. I do a bit of ‘winging it’ too, but mostly on baby clothes and the fit doesn’t matter so much with those. A very nice sweater!! Too bad you are not happy with the color. It is attractive.
You are right Dollyce!
Our figures are secondary when we compare with health and a happy family.
Glad to know you have a large family. I have 4 kids and 12 grandchildren and c ouldn, t be happier.
Best regards,
Dolly
The sweater looks great on you and the pattern is wonderful, I love it.
I love it! I think it looks wonderful on you. I would love to be able to look at something and just figure it out or wing it! I also love the color.
Great job on the sweater, looks great on you. when you make another one for your niece make sure to take good notes and share with us all.
Promise I will take pictures step by step with the white one.
At the moment I am trying to finish the “deers’ s sweater” for my son John.
Are you all like me involved in many projects at the time?
This is like an addition for me, but I’ m not ashamed about it. Is an addition that doesn’ t hurt anyone, on the contrary, is very therapeutical.
Regards to all my knitting buddies!

To me, it doesn’t look easy. Just me…
