My very creative and wonderful new LYS owner sent us an email outlining her Economic Stimulus Package…if we show-up on Election Day with an I VOTED sticker we get 20% off our purchase !!!
Too bad I have to work and will be at the polls long before she opens. Either way I thought that was pretty creative of her.

Good idea. I saw a story on the local news up here in WI that a bar will be giving out a free draft beer to anyone who shows up with the I Voted sticker.
Mason that is my kind of bar.

I think my LYS is doing something similar. Given how emotionally taxed many of us are over the election process (I just want it to be over!) what better way to deal with stress than to hunker down with some knitting…or go shopping (for knitting stuff)!

I heard on the radio that Krispy Kreme is giving out free star shaped donuts with red, white & blue on them if you come with your sticker on election day. Mmmm. Too bad there’s no KK near me!
Cool! Cheap yarn and a free beer, and you get to vote besides–what’s not to like? (Especially if your guy wins…)
Slightly off-topic: [I]please, everyone[/I], put up with the stress long enough to get out there and vote! THEN go home and knit like crazy, maybe without the TV on. You’ll feel better!

One of my LSSs (Local Scrapbook Store) is offering 30% off one item with an “I Voted” sticker. I’m not going to be going there before Friday, so I threw my sticker away, but I thought it was a neat promotion.
