My fun for today

I’ve been looking for small quick toys to do. I found this one this morning and made her up real quick. She has lots of potential! First time messing with the pattern, so I’m not particularly happy how the decreases worked but that always happens to me the first time I do a pattern like this until I “fix it” the way I want it laugh
She’s supposed to be an angel, but I don’t want her to be an angel, so I didnt make her wings, but I’m gonna do her with all kinds of hair and dresses  And make her hold hearts, baskets etc.
Sorry the last pic isn’t that great, was the first one of the three and my daughter was taking them with her camera for me, so I couldn’t exactly complain

Kath

Kath, that second pose just cracked me up! I think she is sooo cute and I love your idea of making different things for her to hold. How cool is that!!

kimmie

LOVE that middle pic!
:happydance:
She’s…too sexy for for her yarn
Too sexy for her yarn…
:happydance:

LOL exactly what i was thinking when I posed her. She just BELONGED around here, doncha think? She’s just a happy simple little rustic doll, but she deserved a little pizazz!
:happydance:

She is too cute! Is she from a free pattern?

“Strike a pose.” HA!

I agree. Since I’ve made my socks I’m suddenly very picky about which decreases to use on every project.

Yep she is a free pattern.

Scroll down there and you’ll see her.
I made the smaller version of her, cast on 35.etc. You’ll see it in the instructions.
Was my second project ever made on 2 circs  First was a pair of sock slippers for hubby

This green yarn was kinda “slippery” so the decreases show up too much as “jumpy” if that makes sense, but I think if made bigger and with other yarn the pattern is well written and works ok. A little fudging cuz I was on two circs and not DPNS but nothing major. Only took a few hours for me to make with interuptions. You could permanently tack her arms, so that they can be played with and not POSED laugh

:rofling:

Ohh so cute and funny!! :rofling:

Awesome job!! Thanks for post the pattern too!

Very cute!!

I love whimsy!

:waving: Would you please take a picture of the crocheted piece in those pictures,
so I can see what it is.

There’s actually part of FOUR crocheted items in the top picture. Which one? Can you tell I was a crocheter first? lol

1st question: Wellllll, how 'bout all four? :happydance:
2nd question: Nope, couldn’t tell. I do both too. :roflhard:

I’ll get my daughter to take pictures later of them.

Upper right corner is a pineapple christmas ball cover, but I made an
insert in black and use it for a sachet/potpourri. They just hang from my sconces at the moment so you only see 1 corner of 1.

Bottom right corner is just a real quick and easy sachet.

Under her is a doily of course, in a swirl pattern with blue stripes.

And the flowers and pot are just a bean filled “bag”/pot with flowers I made and tied on top with some leaves which I also use for potpourii sometimes.

The patterns for the pineapple, doily and small sachet are free online if you want the links , just holler. I would look for them now but I am in need of caffeine
