I did it! My first proper pattern . It’s a really simple one for wrist warmers (pictured below) and in my blog. Hope that it makes sense:
Pattern for wrist warmers. Yarn: Lion Brand Homespun
With Sz 10 needles, cast on 24 sts (wrist end)
Switch to sz 9 needles
k1, p1 rib (ws)
k1, p1 rib
k1, p1 rib
Switch back to sz 10
K (rs)

K2tog, K to end
P2tog P, P to end
K2tog K, K to end
P2tog P, P to end
K2tog K, K to end

switch to size 9 needles.
K1, P1 rib for 3 rows,
Cast off on 10, or 10.5 needles (i.e. loosely). (finger end)
Sew sides tog, try on the warmer and work out where the thumb gap will be, sew about 1/2" together for thumb.
I made my stepgrandd a scarf out of Homespun, for Christmas; and I wanted to make her a pair of wrist/armwarmers to go with them. Your pattern couldn’t come at a better time for me. :cheering:
Thanks guys, my DH really dislikes them, so is embarrassed to be out with me wearing them. I love that they are sooo warm and lovely. Maybe I will try them in a different color see if that’s less offensive to him.
On another note, I only created the pattern a few days ago, and posted the pattern when I posted on here and when checking visits on my blog I find that I have had a massive increase in visitors (about 500% or more) and find that my pattern has been added to knittingpatterncentral.com :shock: . I’ve not been able to check the link since the site is down, but confused that they didn’t ask/tell first. Not that I’m bothered, nice to have so many more people looking at my blog.
