Here is my first hat. I haven’t woven in the ends or blocked it yet. There are a few mistakes in the ribbing which don’t show here in the picture. I probably won’t wear it, but it was really good practice and I will definitely make it again. I’m thinking it would be a good Christmas gift for a few family members (in different colors). The pattern was relatively easy, and since I used Knitpicks Wool of the Andes it is really inexpensive to make. The pattern is here:
Thanks for the compliments. I should clarify that this was my second project. My first one was an afghan which was 63 squares of increasing complexity, so I learned a lot while knitting that. I did do some color work in the afghan, although not in the round and not quite as complicating as this hat that I just finished.
